Mini Primark beauty haul + first impressions

Hey guys, I hope you're all well. This post will be a small haul of some new products from Primark. I will also be talking about my first impressions with each of the product. I went to Primark and bought some of their newer beauty products and I thought I would write a blog on it for you guys so that you know whats worth getting. I really hope you enjoy this post.

Ultimate Brush Set:

As you can see in the picture this brush set cost £7, which is a really good price for 5 brushes. In the set there is a powder brush, flat top buffing brush, small packer brush, lip brush and an angled eyeliner/eyebrow brush. The powder brush isn't very dense and is fairly soft, it applied my powder products fairly well, also I quite like it for blush as it didn't pick up heaps of product so I can have a lighter application. I don't like the flat top brush as I don't really have a use for it, I did try it with a little foundation and it was VERY streaky. The packer brush I really like for applying shimmery eye shadow to the centre of the lid as it gives a really good colour pay of and high shine from my eye shadows. There's not much to say about a lip brush...it's a lip brush. The small angled brush is lovely I really liked it for filling in my eyebrow with powder. Over all the set is OK I  would recommend it if you are on a budget, not brilliant but not terrible. Not bad for the price.

Sleek and Smooth Hair Oil:
As you can see this product was £2 which is a bargain. So far I really like this product I applied it as instructed after washing my hair. It didn't leave my hair feeling oily or greasy, my hair felt soft and manageable. My hair is fairly damaged from bleaching and dying it, this smoothed over the ends nicely. I also used this after curling my hair, I scrunched it into the curls which added a nice shine to my hair and softness to my curls. I am looking forward to seeing the long term affects of using this product.

Glitter Obsessed Palette:

This Palette cost £4. This product is "glitter eye creams". As you can see from the picture below there is not heaps of pay off from the glitter. I found that this is quite a nice product if you just want to add a little sparkle to your makeup look. The "cream" aspect of this product is like a jelly/Vaseline kind of formula, it does a good job at sticking the glitter to your skin and it is easily used with little to no mess. However the product doesn't set and stays quite greasy on the lids and will crease unless you lightly set with translucent powder or an eye shadow.

Holler and Glow Illuminating Sheet Mask:

This sheet mask cost £3. I did not like this product at all. The mask itself was made of quite a thick and stiff material so it didn't adhere to my face the way it should, the material was also quite rough and uncomfortable on the skin. The serum in the product cause no irritation but I saw no difference in my skin after using the mask. My skin was left feeling tight, dry and texture on my cheeks was emphasised. Would NOT recommend, you can get much better sheet masks for cheaper.

Camouflage Palette Conceal and Correct :
As you can see this product cost £3. This is a cream colour correcting palette. I used the yellow and peachy shade under my eyes and some of the green along my jaw line and lower cheek. These aren't too pigmented so you don't look like you have patches of colour on your face, they are nice and creamy and blended out well over and under foundation. I am really happy with this product and would definitely recommend.

Primer Water:
This primer water cost £2. So far with using this product I have noticed that my makeup is lasting longer, I use this to prime and set my make up. I was really surprised to find out that this product has a brilliant mister, very fine and gentle. I also really like that this product isn't loaded up with fragrance its got a subtle fragrance but nothing crazy. I will definitely repurchase this in the future. I am really happy with this product.

BONUS POUNDLAND PRODUCTS

DermaV10 Anti Wrinkle Cream:
So clearly this was £1 ...Poundland and all. I don't think I would repurchase this product, the packaging is really good (for £1), but I find the cream itself is slightly irritating on my skin. I have dry skin with mild rosacea on my cheeks and jawline and I found that this cream is uncomfortable and the tiniest bit stingy when it is first applied. It doesn't make my skin flare up or go red or anything like that it is just the stinging sensation with no other side effects. I will probably continue to use this until it is used up as it is actually a nice moisturiser it is just a shame its not very comfortable on my skin. It doesn't irritate my eyes at all, this is how I can tell that it is because of the rosacea and not the product itself.

Argan Oil Hydrating Hair Mask:
I'll let you guess the price of this ;). I have been using this product for years it is brilliant for when I don't have the money to spend on the higher priced hair masks. Of course it doesn't work as well as the pricier ones but it is brilliant for helping keep my hair in good condition for times in between me having other hair mask. I would definitely recommend this for those of you on a budget.

I really hope you enjoyed this haul and my mini product reviews. Let me know if you have tried any of these and what your experiences have been. Also let me know if you have and suggestions for future content I would love to hear your ideas. Thank you for reading it means a lot that you would take the time to read what I've written. I love you all loads.

Etsy Shop Product Review #1 : JnJ Farm KY

Hello lovelies, I hope you're all well. This post will be a review of the Etsy shop "JnJ Farm KY". I contacted the owner of this shop and asked about reviewing some of their products. I bought the carrot facial soap and the owner was kind enough to send me some samples of other products to try out. So generous and lovely to talk and so very friendly and helpful. The samples I received were the dead sea mud mask, aloe butter, acne and detox soap and facial oil. I will be trying these products out for a week before writing my reviews so that I can give a full honest opinion on each product and talk about how they have effected my skin be it good or bad.

JnJ Farm KY:
I thought I would talk a bit about the shop itself before I get into reviewing the products.
JnJ Farm KY is an Etsy shop located in Virginia, USA. This shop has a load of products for sale that are natural and organic (who doesn't love that?) such as soaps, natural butters, lotions, essential oils, herbals, face masks, face&beard oils etc. I think this shop has something for everyone, there is such a good range of products its difficult not to get a bit of everything. Most if not all of the products are hand made which means that one purchase can differ slightly to another, but that doesn't bother me at all as I love using handmade products. I am so excited that I found this shop and can't wait to try out the products they were so generous to send me and to purchase some more in the future.

Carrot Facial Soap:
How I used this: I used this soap as part of the evening skin routine, it was used as the second step in the double cleanse. I would create a lather in my hands and use to wash my face, neck and chest. I would massage in circular motions and leave to sit on the skin for a couple minutes before rinsing off with warm water, then continuing with my skin routine.
First impressions: This soap is made very well with the logo clearly imprinted into the soap. This smells beautiful. I managed to get a nice rich lather with this soap and it was very comfortable on the skin, I didn't experience any irritation what so ever. This left my skin feeling super clean and refreshed but not dry or stripped of the natural oils. I really liked that this was gentle and moisturising on the skin but still left my face feeling squeaky clean, I am very happy with this product after my first use. It will be interesting to see how my skin feels at the end of this week.
Summary: After using this product for about a week I can confidently say that it is brilliant, this soap is awesome. After continued use my skin definitely feels softer and brighter. This is brilliant for a daily face wash, you don't have to worry about not getting a thorough cleanse or there still being make up residue etc. because this soap cleans the skin so well but is super gentle. I love it and will definitely continue to use this.

Acne and Detox Soap:
How I used this: I used this product in the mornings as the first step in my skin routine. I used this in the same way I used the carrot soap. Massage the lather into my face, neck and chest, leave for a couple minutes then rinse.
First impressions: The first I thing  noticed about this soap is that it is very well made with the logo imprinted into the product. Also the scent of this product is lovely, a brilliant mixture of natural fragrances, but not overwhelming. I was surprised to find that you get a lovely rich lather from this soap and it is very pleasant to use. My skin was left feeling super clean and refreshed. As I have dry skin, my skin did feel a bit tight after use so moisturising is essential after using this product. Absolutely loved this on first use can wait to see how my skin reacts over the week. Starting the week with this product I do have a couple small blemishes and some red marks from a couple I had over the weekend. I will let you know how this soap effects them.
Summary: I think this is a really good product, I have dry skin but I do get breakouts a few times a month. I feel like for those times when I do have spots and breakouts this product is really going to help. I don't like this as a daily face wash but I think it is amazing for a treatment face wash when your skin needs it. I did get a few small breakouts this week and this using this soap meant that they didn't last nearly as long as normal and the marks left afterwards were much lighter and faded quicker. If you have oily or acne prone skin this soap is going to be amazing for you.

Aloe Butter:
How I used this: I used this product for my damaged hair and as a lip balm.
First impressions: This product doesn't really have a scent. The texture is kind of grainy but melts down to a smooth oily consistency. It is fairly comfortable on the lips once the harder grains melt into them. As a hair treatment I was very happy upon first application as it didn't leave my hair feeling greasy or super oily. I applied it to the ends of my hair after I had washed and towel dried it. So far so good. A little seems to go a long way.
Summary: This is a super versatile product, it can be used on the skin, the hair, mixed with other products, nails etc. this is a brilliant product and I would highly suggest purchasing this if you regularly use natural butters in your day to day life. This a very high quality organic product.

Dead Sea Mud Mask:
How I used this: For this product I followed the instructions given with the product. The seller did tell me that you can add essential oils, green clay, french rose etc. to the mask for additional skin care benefits. I was also told that she used it on her hair as a detox as she works in a cigar bar and often her hair needs it.
First impressions: The texture of this product is awesome, it is like a combination of your traditional mud mask and a gel/creamy consistency, its really cool. This is mask is easy and comfortable to apply and is fairly comfortable to wear. It is a little drying on my already very dry/dehydrated skin, but i still really like the results after using it. Although it was drying on me as long as I used a good moisturiser afterwards then it was fine. After using this mask my skin was left feeling super clean and refreshed, pores felt tighter, skin appeared smoother and brighter. I really enjoyed this product and will definitely continue to use it.
Summary:This is a very good product, the results of this mask are beautiful. Over the week I used this product twice, because my skin is dry and it would be too drying on my skin if I used it too often. But this is brilliant for when my skin was feeling a little dull or clogged. This is a brilliant mud mask and I would strongly recommend it, especially if you have oily or combination skin. But if you do have dry skin you can still use this just make sure you moisturise really well.

Facial Oil:
How I used this: I would used 3-4 drops of this product as my last step in my skin routine. I would rub it between my hands a press it into my skin.
First impressions: This product smells amazing but not too over powering. It has a lovely consistency which spreads beautifully over this skin, It doesn't leave the skin feeling greasy or heavy, it went very well over my other skin care products and absorbed well into the skin after a couple minutes. I am looking forward to seeing how it effects my skins moisture levels and texture.
Summary: I used this product twice a day every day for about a week and the main improvements I saw during this time is that my skin retained moisture much better and that it boosted the effectiveness of my other skin care products. I also feel like this made my skin soft and supple. I don't use many oils in my skin care routine but after trying out this product I will definitely be changing that, starting my integrating this product into my routine.

A little about the seller:

The seller for this Etsy shop is brilliant very friendly and easy to talk to, I asked her about why she started the Etsy shop, why she uses organic products etc. This is what she told me.

"Let's see been doing organic forever and giving out products to friends and family for years. Hubby had strength and support to do my own business. I don't particularly care for Etsy fees are way to high. Because of that he surprised me with website!

I love organic products and I use everything I sell. I don't offer anything I wouldn't use myself. My trademark is Quality Ingredients for a Quality Product because it shows the lengths I go through to keep involved in every aspect of manufacturing. From organic cold-pressed oils to the recycled paper I use for my invoices. Even at shows I use all electronic receipts to save in paper!"

As you can see she is very passionate about what she does and that shows in the quality of her products. I think that this is a brilliant Etsy store and you should definitely check it out.

I really hoped you enjoyed this blog and review, i hope to do some more posts like this in the future as I really enjoy writing them and getting to try out new products to tell you about. Let me know what you thought of this blog and if you want to see more like this in the future. I love you all loads.

Top 5 Affordable Skincare products

Hey guys, I hope you're all well. It would seem that the last post I made, top 5 make up products, has gone down rather well with a lot of you. So I thought it would be a good idea to follow it up with my top 5 skincare products. I love skin care but like a lot of people I don't have the money to be spending heaps on it, so I try to look for good quality products for a low price. I hope you enjoy.

Pond's Cold Cleansing Cream:

I really like this product as part of my double cleanse. I first heard about whilst looking into some vintage skincare products and some vintage skincare tutorials. I found out that this product stayed popular through many generations, so obviously I had to try it out. I was used to using a milk cleanser, so the thicker texture of this took a little while for me to get used to, but once I became used to using this product I absolutely loved it. I really think it does a brilliant job of cleansing your skin without drying it out. Also due to this product being based with mineral oil it means it doesn't absorb into the skin, which means all the dirt and bacteria is kept on the surface with the product for you to easily wipe away, no worries about it sinking into the skin.

Nivea Daily Essentials Night Cream:

I started using this product a couple years ago, I was looking for a rich moisturiser for my dry skin that didn't have a load of unpleasant ingredients and that was reasonably priced. At the time I was dealing with quite sensitive skin as I was pregnant and anything too heavily scented or with harsh ingredients would sting when applied and would make my skin red for a couple of hours. However I found that this product was gentle enough for my sensitive skin but also gave me the results I wanted. I found that this was rich enough for my dry skin but wasn't too heavy and didn't sit on the skin, it absorbs brilliantly.

Coconut Oil As Cleanser:

I cannot begin to tell you how much I love coconut oil, who doesn't? It is amazing for you inside and out. It can be used on your hair, your skin, your nails, in your food and around the house. Its brilliant stuff. My favourite use for it is as my oil cleanser. It dissolves make up and product on the skin so effortlessly, breaking down liquid lipsticks and waterproof mascara no problem. Also the added moisture boost on my dry skin doesn't go unnoticed. I feel like this could stand its ground against any of the cleansing balms or oils because this does such a good job for a ridiculously low cost. This product is so cheap but so extremely useful its a sin not to purchase it and start using this as part of your skin care, hair care, recipes etc whatever you like. I love this.

Innisfree Sheet Masks:

I love using sheet masks, they give my skin a much needed hydration boost. My skin is left feeling brighter, plumper and calmer than when I started. I really enjoy the Innisfree masks, they have a fantastic range for any skin care issues they are very well saturated in the essence, and the masks fit the face fairly well. I use a sheet mask at least every other day. I love using sheet masks as part of my routine and I really like the Innisfree ones, they are very affordable, they work well, they are gentle on the skin with no heavy scents. I think these are a brilliant product and if you enjoy Korean skin care or just sheet masks in general I highly recommend giving these a try.

Botanics All Bright Radiance Concentrate Serum:

This product is beautiful. I love it, I know its slightly higher in price than the other products I've mentioned but it is still super affordable and totally worth your money. This leaves your skin feeling so fresh and bright, it also gives a good boost of hydration but also plumps and brightens up your skin. I love this as part of my morning and night time routine. Beautiful texture that sinks into the skin brilliantly, gentle but gives good results and smells lovely, with only a subtle scent. I cant think of any cons for this product to be honest, I really like it. I think it is suitable for all skin type and people of any age, a brilliant product for everyone.

I really hope you enjoyed this post, let me know what you think. I'd love to know have you tried any of these products? If yes did you like them? Another smaller post I hope you guys don't mind will definitely have some good ones coming up for you. Let me know is there anything you would like me to write about or review? etc. Thank you for reading. I love you all loads.

Top 5 affordable make up products

Hey guys, I hope you're all well. I will be talking about a few of my favourite make up products and why I like them. I hope you enjoy this post.

Loreal True Match Foundation:

I first tried this product about a year ago and I have loved it ever since. I use the shade 1.N which matches my skin beautifully. I really like the finish of this foundation as it stays quite dewy on my dry skin but doesn't look oily. The coverage is medium but can be built up to full coverage, it layers beautifully and doesn't look cakey on the skin. I find that this lasts fairly well on my skin and my other products last well on top of it. Also this is very affordable which is just the cherry on the cake for me.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer:

I have been using this product for years I know that this is a well loved product which is totally understandable given the high quality product at such a low price point. The coverage of this concealer is amazing, it blends beautifully and works brilliant for under eyes and over blemishes. I have found that with other concealers at this price point either the coverage isn't enough or the formula dries down too quickly for it to blend into the skin well. I also love that this range goes pale enough for my fair skin tone, I don't think that the ranges goes dark enough for someone of colour, but for medium and lighter skin tones it works very well. (I really hope that the drugstore and highstreet brands get their arse's in gear and get some darker shades out there).

Miss Sporty Eyeliner Pencil:

I think this was the second eyeliner pencil I ever bought and I still love it to this day. It is such a good product for the price, this is so affordable. It is super soft and creamy and very comfortable to apply and the pigmentation is beautiful, it is super black which I love. It lasts fairly well in the water line but I do have to touch up after 4-5 hours. My only problem with this product is that it does smudge and transfer a little bit, but when I set it with a small amount of eye shadow there is not issue at all.

Makeup Revolution Golden Sugar Palette:

I absolutely LOVE this palette. All but maybe 2 of the colours in the palette I think are amazing, easily some of the best highlighters I have used. There are also some beautiful blush topper colours of which are beautiful on their own or over blush. These are not chunky or super glittery but they are high shine and shimmery and magical...I love them. They work beautifully on the skin or as eye shadows, you can foil them using a bit of setting spray to dampen your brush. They can be used subtly or you can get a really strong pay off. Brilliant texture, pigmentation and price.

Top Shop Cheek Jelly:

I know this is a cheek product but I really like to use it on the lips. It give a really natural moisturising stain that looks and feels lovely. I do also like it on the cheeks but I much prefer it as a lip product. It is a really smooth gel texture that isn't greasy or oily but still feels really hydrating. The pigmentation is pretty good but it can still be built up for a bolder colour. I really like this product and I'm surprised I never hear about it.

I would highly recommend all of these products. I really hope you enjoyed this post, I know its quite a short one but I wanted to make sure I got something up for you guys. I have Some really cool blogs and reviews on the way so stay tuned. Love you all.

4 DIY skin and hair care recipes

Hey guys, I hope you're all well. I don't know about you but sometimes I really enjoy mixing up lotions and potions to use instead of buying products. There are many bonuses to heading to the kitchen instead of Boots or Superdrug. The mixtures are natural and depending on the items you use they are organic. Also for my girls if its ...that time of the month, and like me your skin becomes more sensitive and you break out, then these recipes are brilliant for when your skin is feeling delicate.

Lip scrub:
I thought I would kick things off with my plumping lip scrub recipe. I really enjoy this homemade product and I use it most days before applying my makeup, as it is very moisturising, it plumps your lips noticeably and it is as gritty as you choose to make it.

Ingredients:
1tsp Lanolin (a.k.a. nipple cream)
1/2tsp Cinnamon
5 drops Peppermint oil
1/2tsp Granulated sugar (more or less to your liking)

Method:
Are you ready for the complex making of the lip scrub?... Put all the ingredients in a container and mix well. I know...but its easier than it sounds (I'm clearly enjoying myself here).

To use: Use the same as you would any other lip scrub. Apply a small amount to your lips and rub gently in circular motions over your lips. For even more plumping allow the product to sit on your lips for a couple minutes before removing.

Honey&Yogurt face mask
This recipe is amazing for dry skin people. This is also super gentle and calming on the skin which is brilliant because I know that dry skin often goes hand in hand with sensitive skin. This is also brilliant if you have oily or combination skin because this has healing, hydrating, light exfoliation and calming properties. So this is really is good for all skin types in my opinion.

Ingredients:
2tbsp Natural yoghurt
1tsp Honey
1tbsp Oatmeal
2tsp Coconut oil (would not recommend for oily skin)

Method:
This might start to get a little repetitive for you. Mix all ingredients in container. If you are adding coconut oil then melt it before adding to the mix.

To use: Apply an even layer over your skin avoiding the eyes, leave for 15-20 mins and wash face with warm water.

Coffee face scrub mask:
This recipe I use when my skin really needs a pick me up. Due to the caffeine in the coffee this mask has very brightening quality to it. The scrub aspect of this mask offers a very good exfoliation, though might be a bit harsh for those of you with sensitive skin. This really wakes your skin up when its starts to look a bit dull or tired. This will be fine to use for all skin types, but if you do have sensitive skin I would just advise to be gentle when applying to the skin due to the scrub quality.

Ingredients:
2tsp Used coffee grounds
1tbsp Instant coffee (do not use decaf it totally defeats the objective)
1tsp Water
1tsp Coconut oil

Method:
You actually have to more than mix it all on this one, but I have faith you can handle it. Melt the coconut oil and mix with the instant coffee and water until all the coffee has dissolved. Then mix the coffee grounds into the other coffee mix. It still wasn't much to do was it?

To use: Apply to the skin and massage in circular motions, then leave on the skin for 10-15 mins and wash off with warm water.

Egg Hair Mask:
Last but not least is a hair mask. If like me you put your hair through a lot, I'm always dying it and bleaching. I'm sure my hair hates me by now. This mask is brilliant for dry and damaged hair that needs a bit of love. This mask provides some much needed moisture and nourishment as well as the proteins from the egg which will strengthen your hair.

Ingredients:
1 whole egg
1tbsp Coconut oil
1tbsp Olive oil
2tsp honey
150ml Green tea (more or less depending on hair length)

Method:
I'll stop with silliness this time...or will I? (I really am enjoying this far too much) Beat the egg very well, then whisk in the olive oil and coconut oil(remember to melt it) until they emulsify. Then add the honey and the green tea and mix very well.

To use: Apply evenly to all of hair, cover with cling film or a shower cap, leave for 30-60 minutes (or as long as you want) then wash hair well in warm water (not too hot or your hair will contain scrambled eggs).

I really hope you have enjoyed this post, let me know what you thought in the comments below. Will you use these? Do you use DIY products? What do you use? Thank you for reading this if you made it this far. Love you millions.

Dermacol Extreme Coverage Foundation Review

Hey guys, I hope you're all well. I will be reviewing the Dermacol full coverage foundation, I am sure you will have seen it all over Youtube. I ordered mine from Ebay and it arrived within a week and cost me £2.89.

Above is a link to the Dermacol cosmetics website. If you want to read the full description and claims of this foundation then go a head and click the link. If like me you are too lazy to do that then I will give a brief summary of what they say.
The claims for this foundation are as follows:
-waterproof
-hypoallergenic
-SPF 30
-Suitable for all skin types
-50% pigment
-Extreme full coverage (enough to cover tattoos)

Lets get into it.
I did my skin care as normal, if you want to know what I used then check out my skin care blog, http://bit.ly/2tZJVOt . I then applied the foundation with a real techniques miracle complexion sponge. The foundation is very thick which is to be expected from a high coverage foundation. I found that it took me a little longer than normal to blend out the foundation, in future when using it I will either add a drop or two of oil or mix it with my normal foundation. The coverage is very good but not as full coverage as I expected, you can still see some of my freckles and redness through the foundation. However I did not apply any concealer as I wanted to see how it would work on its own and it covered my dark circles very well. I found that the foundation does set but it stays quite dewy looking. I used a small amount of translucent powder to set my under eyes and any where I thought it was too shiny. I then applied a jelly blush, liquid bronzer, powder blush and powder highlight over the the foundation and they all applied normally without any issue.

You will see the application and how I applied the rest of my makeup in the video. I will apologise in advance for the water mark on the video, I am trying out a video software and I am yet to purchase it. I have also taken pictures of the make up throughout the day.

After 3 1/2 hours the foundation had started to wear off across my jawline/cheeks. I have fairly dry skin so getting oily or shiny is very rarely an issue for me, it wasn't a problem I had with this foundation, the finish didn't change. My under eyes were looking pretty dry, other than that it was doing well up to this point. I can't complain too much about the foundation wearing off as I am someone who touches my face more than I should, I lean my face on my hands and my 2 year old often grabs my face for kisses (so cute btw).

After 12 hours the foundation had mostly worn off, but there was still coverage on the skin. Again I didn't get shiny and the foundation didn't break down. The rest of my makeup didn't last. The last check in I did for the foundation was at 1:30 am so needless to say I am rather tired looking.
Told you!!

To summarise this review, I do like the foundation and I will be using it again but in the ways I described earlier, with oil or mixed with my other foundation.
Pros:
Good coverage
Nice finish
Didn't need much powder
Good colour match
Make up went over it well
Sat well on the skin

Cons:
Under eyes looked dry
Didn't last as long as I hoped
Didn't blend well
Formula was slightly dry (for my skin type)

I would definitely recommend this foundation. If you have normal to dry skin then I would suggest moisturising well and using with a drop or 2 of oil or using as a coverage boost to another foundation. If you have oily combination skin then I think this foundation will last well on you, just powder lightly where you need to and use a good mattifying primer.

I really hope you have enjoyed this post, I really enjoyed making it. Let me know what you thought in the comments below.
Have you tried this foundation? If yes then what did you think? If no are you going to? Love you millions.
